What is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent treatment. This technique is a form of cosmetic tattooing. A fine micro-blade is used to create delicate, crisp, hair-like strokes by implanting pigment into the basal layer of the dermis. These hair like strokes mimic the appearance of natural brow hairs. At Manderville Aesthetics we use our very own ultra-fine, sterile, disposable microblades to ensure the health & Safety of each client. This method relies heavily on the pressure, depth and stretch during the insertion of fine micro-needles. Suitability is discussed during one to one consultation appointments.

How we ensure your safety

What can affect the results of microblading?

Following Advice:

Pre and post treatment advice must be followed in order to achieve the best results. Advice should be followed before and after both initial appointment and touch up (4-6) weeks later.

Skin Condition:

Your skin quality/condition is an important consideration and will be discussed at your consultation to ensure that microblading is a suitable treatment.

Skin Type:

Skin type will be discussed and accessed at your consultation prior to treatment. You will submit a questionnaire that will help determine your skin type.

Life-style factors that affect healing include:

Sun exposure – If you frequently sunbath or use sunbeds your skins ability to retain pigment will be poorer. Excessive shedding and peeling will encourage fading much quicker, an alternative treatment like powder brow/ ombre brows would be more suitable for this lifestyle.

  • Alcohol consumption

  • Frequent Smoker

  • Use of Retinol and AHA Skin care

As specialists we can advise you on whether or not you are suitable during your consultation, which lasts approximately 30 minutes. We offer a range of brow treatments, so if microblading is not suitable, we’ll let you know what would work best for your skin type.

Following all the advice given will help to achieve the best results.
